Am I too old to do P90X? I hear this questions quite frequently. People often say that P90X exercise program is for younger people or P90X is too hard for someone in their 50’s or 60’s. Well I am here to tell you, unless you have a physical ailment that prevents you from doing some of the P90X exercises or unless your doctor has told you that it is not a good idea, then I think just about anyone can modify P90X to help improve their fitness level. At the time I am writing this Tony Horton, the creator of P90X is 53 years old and he will be the first to tell you that exercise is the fountain of youth. Of course you have to combine it with the proper nutrition but I think that is an obvious statement. You can not eat a Big Mac every day and do P90x and expect to feel good.
If you think that you are tool old for P90X then you are probably right. What you think is more than half the battle to over coming any obstacle including P90X. If you think you can do P90X then you will find a way. The bottom line is you can modify just about every movement in P90X to suit your needs. If you need to take a break then hit pause. Can’t jump too high? Then just step. Can’t do full on pull ups? Use a chair for assistance. Where there’s a will there’s a way. So if you are still wondering if you are too old to do P90X then my answer is HELL NO! Let’s do this.
Check out Bob’s P90X story below. Bob was 60 years old the first time he did P90X and he says it put him in the best shape of his life. Now at 60 years old I think that is an amazing statement.
